This tour offers a unique opportunity to experience the rich wildlife of Chitwan National Park along with the traditional lifestyle of the Tharu people, the original inhabitants of the region. Located approximately 170 km from Kathmandu, Chitwan is one of Nepal’s most celebrated natural destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Chitwan is renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, lush landscapes, and exciting jungle activities. The park is especially famous for the rare One-Horned Rhinoceros, along with many other species of mammals, birds, and reptiles. Popular safari activities include elephant safari, canoe ride, bird watching, jungle walk, and visits to local communities.

One of the highlights of this tour is the elephant safari, which allows you to explore the jungle from a unique vantage point and observe wildlife in its natural habitat. Animals commonly sighted during the safari include deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, crocodiles, gharials, and a wide variety of bird species.

The tour also provides insight into the culture and traditions of the Tharu community. A visit to a Tharu village and an evening Tharu cultural dance performance or slide presentation offer a deeper understanding of their customs, lifestyle, and history.

Bird watching is another rewarding experience included in this package. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will have the opportunity to spot and identify local and migratory bird species, as Nepal is home to hundreds of bird varieties, many of which are found in the Chitwan region.

Additionally, the tour includes a visit to the Elephant Breeding Center, where you can learn about conservation efforts, observe elephants up close, and see playful calves. A canoe ride along the rivers of southern Nepal is often a lifetime experience, offering serene views of riverside scenery and excellent chances to spot crocodiles and other aquatic wildlife.

This Chitwan safari tour is a perfect blend of adventure, nature, wildlife conservation, and cultural immersion, making it an ideal choice for nature lovers and first-time visitors to Nepal.
