The Khaptad and Ramaroshan Tour takes you to one of the most peaceful and unexplored regions of Nepal. Located in the far-western Himalayas, Khaptad National Park and Ramaroshan offer stunning landscapes, rich biodiversity, and a unique spiritual atmosphere. This tour is ideal for nature lovers, trekkers, and travelers looking for a quiet adventure away from busy trekking routes.
Established in 1984, Khaptad National Park is famous for its rolling green meadows, dense forests, and clear mountain streams. The open grasslands are locally known as Patans, and they create a beautiful landscape that is perfect for hiking and nature walks.
The park is also rich in biodiversity. More than 224 species of medicinal herbs grow in this region. In addition, 270 species of birds have been recorded in Khaptad National Park. Because of this, the area is a great destination for bird watching and wildlife observation.
Visitors may also encounter animals such as Himalayan black bears, barking deer, langurs, and wild boars while walking through the forest trails.
Another highlight of the Khaptad and Ramaroshan Tour is the beautiful Ramaroshan area. This region is widely known as the Valley of Lakes. It features 12 stunning lakes and 18 green meadows, which locals call Patans.
The peaceful lakes are surrounded by forests and rolling hills. As a result, the scenery is breathtaking in every season. Travelers often enjoy hiking, camping, and photography in this quiet and scenic environment.
The tour also includes a visit to the Khaptad Baba Ashram, an important spiritual site inside Khaptad National Park. Khaptad Baba was a respected Hindu sage who spent many years meditating in this peaceful area.
Today, visitors can explore the ashram and experience the calm spiritual atmosphere of the region. The site remains open to all travelers and pilgrims.
The Khaptad and Ramaroshan Tour combines natural beauty, wildlife, culture, and spirituality. Unlike many crowded trekking areas in Nepal, this region remains quiet and untouched.
For travelers seeking nature, peace, and authentic experiences, Khaptad National Park and Ramaroshan offer an unforgettable journey in the far-western Himalayas.
